Those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
They will run and not grow weary,
They will walk and not be faint
Isaiah 40 : 31

Do you know that God loves you?

For God so loved the world that He gave his only son, that whoever would believe in Him should not die, but have everlasting life.
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3: 16, 17

This is the GOSPEL message, the GOOD NEWS for each one of us.

Since the beginning, when Adam and Eve chose to distrust and disobey God (Genesis 3) sin entered the world; corrupting peoples minds, will, emotions and flesh.

When sin entered the world, death also entered the world. Sin also separated us from God as He is Just and Holy.

The good news is that God loves us so much that He made a way for us to be able to return into right relationship with Him.

God gave the ‘Ten Commandments’ so that we could be aware of our sin. A bit like a mirror reflecting the truth of where we stand; but to truly see takes courage and honesty of the heart.

Knowing our weaknesses, and that minds were hostile towards Him (Romans 8:7 ; John 3: 19, 20); God gave the life of His only Son, Jesus Christ, as a payment for all of our sins. Jesus Christ came to this earth and lived among us – fully human, fully God.

You might be wondering why Jesus needed to pay the price of His life. This is because as it says in Romans 6 : 23 ‘the wages of sin is death’. So, Jesus Christ paid the price for our debt; for our sins; with His life.

Suffering and dying on the Cross for you and for me; three days later He rose from the dead, and in doing so He conquered death. So as you continue to read the verse in Romans 6 : 23 you will see the GOOD NEWS of the free gift that God has given to us: ‘but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord’.

We each have a body, soul and spirit and though our body dies here on earth, our spirit lives on. It is eternal, for we were made in the image of God (Genesis 1: 26,27), and God is Spirit (John 4 : 24) and God is eternal.

Jesus is returning again and the signs of the times and fulfilled Bible prophecies indicate that this will be soon.

Did you know that prophecy makes up almost one third of the Bible and that a high percentage of these prophecies have already been fulfilled. Many are being fulfilled in the days in which we live.

As we know, the one certainty in life is that we will all die at some point, but God has given us a free will choice to take hold of hope and accept His gift of salvation today – tomorrow is never promised

I pray that you will take hold of hope and the free gift of salvation that God has offered you. To take this step then open your heart and talk to God

Admit you are a sinner ..
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
Romans 3:23 ; Acts 3: 18,19

Believe Jesus is Lord …
Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me”
John 14: 6

Call upon His name …
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved”.
Romans 20: 8 – 13

You will probably have questions and wish to learn more so start to read the Bible.

There are many different translations, not all good. I would recommend the NASB (New American Standard Bible) and the NKJV (New King James Version) which are word by word translations. You also may find the AMP (Amplified Version) useful. If you don’t have a bible there are several online sites that provide free access, such as Tecarta Bible which is what I use on my phone. Maybe start reading through the Gospel of John in the New Testament.

Also get in touch with a good Christian church so that you can meet with others and study the Bible together. If you are not sure which one, or do not have any in your locality then check out a good online ministry. There are several online – these are a few that I have found helpful:

Got Questions

This is just the start your journey.

The Holy Spirit will begin to sanctify your heart and your old negative desires will begin to lose their flavour as your heart looks to Jesus and you begin to trust God, your Father.

Following Jesus does not get rid of the storms, and the waves of life. For the time being, you are still in this world, but no longer of the world. BUT you will be able to walk through the storms of life with Jesus at your side and you will experience the ‘joy of the Lord’ (John 15 : 10 – 12), and the ‘peace that passeth all understanding’ (Phillipians 4 : 7) within the Storm.

God Bless you and your walk with Him
See you in Heaven

For the Lord does not see as man sees,
for man looks at the outward appearance,
but the Lord looks at the heart
